Investment Strategies

RGB Capital Group implements its' capital preservation and risk management philosophy through three different investment strategies. These strategies are available for both retirement (tax-deferred and tax-free) accounts, as well as taxable accounts. We will be happy to discuss the objectives of each strategy and help you determine if one of these strategies may be right for you.

Flex+ Strategy

Objective: Strives to achieve capital appreciation during positive market environments, preserve capital during severely negative market cycles and reduce risk when market conditions are less certain.  When market conditions warrant, the strategy will move to a levered equity position to take advantage of positive market conditions. Cash is used to minimize risk when necessary. This is a growth-oriented strategy designed for long-term investors.

Leverage: Selective use of levered funds.

Account Minimum: $100,000

Conservative Strategy

Objective: Strives to achieve maximum capital gains while maintaining below market volatility and risk by investing in bond and equity vehicles that are demonstrating better risk-adjusted returns relative to the overall market.  Cash is used to manage risk when necessary.

Leverage: Selective use of margin* and levered funds.

Account Minimum: $100,000

Flexible Strategy

Objective: Strives to achieve maximum capital gains while maintaining below market volatility and risk by investing in bond and equity vehicles that are demonstrating better risk-adjusted returns relative to the overall market. During most market environments, it will combine a 60% allocation to the Conservative strategy and a 40% allocation to the Flex+ strategy. Cash is used to minimize risk when necessary.

Leverage: Selective use of margin* and levered funds.

Account Minimum: $100,000

In addition, RGB Capital Group offers existing clients the opportunity to open an account under the Small Account Strategy which is designed for accounts with less than $100,000. This is only available to clients who already established an account under one of the strategies described above. The Small Account Strategy is managed in a similar fashion to the Conservative Strategy and is available with and without margin.

* Margin is available for taxable accounts only; qualified retirement accounts are not eligible for margin
